We use several different group-specific curricula designed to help students thrive.

Benefits of a Group Environment
A group environment has many benefits for children, here are just a few:
IMPROVED MOTIVATION: We all know that as humans we often gauge our progress against the progress of others - it's one of the ways in which we share a sense of commonality. However, this also enables us to engage in reciprocity, the willingness to help others achieve along the way. The ensemble environment enables both of these values, inspiring students to want to learn and practice more frequently and consistently at home. It establishes a sense of group ownership and engagement, the benefits of which are transferable in many different areas of life.
TEAMWORK & POSITIVE PEER PRESSURE. The ability to set and achieve goals is fundamental to success. Learning this skill as a group is fun! Students in group music classes learn to work together to reach specific goals. They respond positively to the collective learning pace of the group, promoting aspects of team building, proficiency, and positive peer pressure.
LEARNING TO PLAY THE PIANO IN A GROUP BUILDS CONFIDENCE. As students speak and play in front of their peers, their confidence and communication skills grow naturally.
EXPERIENCING THE JOY OF MAKING MUSIC TOGETHER. Group lessons take us back to the experiences of our ancestors who spent time feeling the rhythm, listening, singing, and playing instruments together! Their ears were trained to recognize the signatures of each other's music, building spiritual and relational bonds that lasted a lifetime. Group learning encourages these values and once again, this form of learning is fun!
The KeyNotes Programme
KeyNotes is a curriculum that brings together all the benefits of learning in a group, with the individual approach that ensures that every learner thrives.
Students can join groups at any skill level, with different activities and lessons that will match their current level.
Children will learn through listening, playing, singing, composing and performing with a solid foundation of piano skills and musical knowledge. Following group lessons, students will be equipped to move on to individual lessons and exams if they choose to.
